The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a nonprofit educational foundation offering four programs for students aged 3-19. Known for academic rigor and international-mindedness, IB programs are offered at over 5,000 schools in more than 150 countries.
IB Programs
IB offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP, ages 3-12), Middle Years Programme (MYP, ages 11-16), Diploma Programme (DP, ages 16-19), and Career-related Programme (CP, ages 16-19). Each develops critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and research skills.
IB Diploma Programme
The IB DP is the most well-known program, requiring six subjects (three at higher level), an extended essay, Theory of Knowledge course, and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) hours. It is recognized by universities worldwide.
