De Bladwijzer is een groene, actieve en kleinschalige buurtschool in een nieuw en modern schoolgebouw in de wijk Waterschei. We zijn een ontwikkelingsgerichte school met een sterke samenwerking in de 1ste, 2de en 3de graad waar de leerkrachten in de 2de en 3de graad 2 jaar lang dezelfde leerlingen begeleiden.

"A warm and welcoming school"
We're so glad we chose De Bladwijzer for our child. The teachers are warm and welcoming, and the school's focus on social-emotional learning is just what we were looking for. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, and my child loves going to school every day.

"Outstanding school with a personal touch"
We've been with De Bladwijzer for a year now and it's been an absolute delight. The teachers are caring, the facilities are excellent, and the focus on diversity and inclusion is truly admirable. My child is thriving and we feel like we've found a real community here.

"Excellent school with a strong focus on community"
We visited several schools in Genk before deciding on De Bladwijzer, and we are so glad we chose it. The school's commitment to inclusivity and diversity is evident in everything they do. Our son is thriving in his new school and we are grateful for the warm and welcoming community.

"Wonderful experience at De Bladwijzer"
We moved to Genk last year and were looking for a small, welcoming school for our daughter. De Bladwijzer exceeded our expectations in every way. The teachers and staff are kind and dedicated, and the facilities are excellent. We love the co-teaching approach and the emphasis on outdoor learning.

"A great school, but could improve in some areas"
We left De Bladwijzer after 2 years and have mixed feelings. On the one hand, the school's emphasis on co-teaching and bilingualism was invaluable for our child. The outdoor spaces are fantastic too. However, we felt that the communication with parents could be better, and sometimes the staff seemed a bit stretched thin.

"Generally happy with De Bladwijzer, but some issues"
We had a generally positive experience at De Bladwijzer, but there were some issues with communication and consistency. The teachers were often kind and supportive, but we felt that the school could have done more to involve us in our child's education. The facilities are excellent, though, and our child loved the outdoor learning opportunities.
