Västerskolan har cirka 500 elever från förskoleklass till årskurs nio. Undervisningen bedrivs i huvudsak i två byggnader, en för förskoleklass till årskurs sex och en för årskurserna sju till nio. Från förskoleklass till årskurs sex är det en klass per årskurs och i årskurserna sju till nio är det fyra klasser per årskurs.
