## Recent parent reviews

- **5/5** — A wonderful school community!: We've been so impressed with Valley Road Academy. The school has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the teachers are always supportive. Our daughter loves the after-school clubs and the reading buddies program is a great way to encourage a love of reading. We're so glad we made the decision to send her here! *(Sep 2022)*
- **4/5** — Excellent education and facilities!: My son is really thriving at Valley Road Academy. He loves the curriculum and the teachers are always pushing him to do his best. The school's facilities are also fantastic - the playground is a great place for kids to let off steam and the breakfast club is a convenient option for busy mornings. Our only suggestion would be to provide more opportunities for parent engagement. *(Jun 2021)*
- **4/5** — Mixed feelings about Valley Road: We have mixed feelings about Valley Road Academy. Our child had a great experience in Year 1, but the following year was less smooth. The school's emphasis on 'Success for All' is lovely, but we felt that this sometimes translated into high expectations being placed on the children, which can be stressful for them. On the positive side, the school's governance is clearly well-organized and the Local Academy councillors are approachable. *(Mar 2020)*
