## About

St Albans School blends a proud and distinguished history with an unwavering commitment to preparing young people for the future. Our pupils consistently achieve excellent examination results in the most demanding academic subjects, securing places at leading universities. However, we firmly believe that a truly exceptional education encompasses much more than academic success. At St Albans School we nurture intellectual curiosity and foster personal growth, enabling each pupil to flourish both inside and beyond the classroom.

We are delighted that from September 2026 we will be extending our co-educational provision across the whole school. In addition to our thriving co-educational Sixth Form, we will welcome both boys and girls into the First Form (Year 7), ensuring that every bright child can benefit from an outstanding St Albans School education.

Every pupil here is well-known and valued as an individual. Our inspirational teaching, combined with a rich and varied co-curricular programme, provides pupils with a wealth of opportunities to explore their talents. Our pastoral care system ensures that pupils develop the confidence, resilience and self-belief to give of their best in all areas of school life.

As one of the oldest schools in the world, we are proud of our rich history. In recent years, the School has been transformed by new and refurbished facilities on our city-centre campus, as well as at Woollams, our superb sporting facility.

To experience the warmth and energy of our community, we invite you to join us at one of our Open Days or arrange an individual visit. A very warm welcome awaits you.

## Recent parent reviews

- **5/5** — Exceptional Education and Values: We have two children who attended St Albans School, and we couldn't be more proud of the people they've become. The school's commitment to intellectual curiosity, personal growth, and community service aligns perfectly with our own values. The Headmaster's welcome message sums it up perfectly - an exceptional education that goes beyond academic success. *(Jun 2023)*
- **3/5** — St Albans school review :): Great school but way to strict, got in trouble for not tucking in shirt. Great students tho and everyone’s nice *(May 2023)*
- **5/5** — Outstanding Education and Support: As a parent, I've been blown away by the level of support and encouragement our child has received at St Albans School. From the state-of-the-art facilities at Woollams to the inspiring teachers who genuinely care, every day is a positive experience. We feel so lucky to be a part of this community! *(Mar 2022)*
- **4/5** — Good but Room for Improvement: We've had a mixed experience with St Albans School so far. On the one hand, our child loves the range of extracurricular activities and the supportive teachers. On the other hand, we've found some of the communication with the school to be a bit hit-or-miss. Overall, we're happy but hope to see some improvements in the coming years. *(Oct 2021)*
- **5/5** — St Albans 1: I am new and it is very welcoming and the teachers and environment is really good *(Jan 2021)*
