About Springmead Preparatory School

Award-winning, co-educational independent preparatory school and nursery, welcoming children from 6 months to 11 years. We are a small school with a big ambition, situated in the beautiful village of Beckington, near Frome, on the Wiltshire – Somerset border.

"Excellent education and values"

My child attended Springmead from Reception to Year 6 and I was consistently impressed with the education they received. The values of the school, such as respect for the environment and a commitment to academic excellence, are truly admirable.

"A nurturing environment for my child"

I've been impressed with the attention to detail and care shown by the teachers at Springmead. My child has blossomed under their guidance. The facilities are excellent and the Go Explore! programme is a great way to encourage a love of nature.

"Some improvements needed"

We've been at Springmead for a year now and while we've seen some improvements, we still have some concerns about the communication between teachers and parents. The school itself is lovely and the children seem happy.
