Lotus Academy

Lotus Academy is a specialist academy located in Sheffield, serving students aged 7 to 16 years (Year 3 to Year 11) with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school caters for children with diagnoses including ADHD, ASD, Attachment disorders, and other conditions impacting mental health. All pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans. The academy operates on a primary-based approach with a 'Team around the Child' model, consisting of a teacher, two teaching assistants, and a pastoral leader working together to provide personalized support. Learning is centered on creating a safe, stimulated, and secure environment where students feel valued. The curriculum is tailored to individual developmental stages, knowledge gaps, and sensory profiles, with high expectations for both academic and personal development. Lotus Academy is part of the NEXUS MULTI ACADEMY TRUST and emphasizes nurture, enjoyment, and self-belief as foundations for learning.
