Overstone Gate Primary School is a brand-new, non-selective, state-funded primary school located at the Overstone Leys development in north-east Northampton. It opened in September 2025 with its founding Reception learners and will grow annually until reaching full capacity as a two-form entry school with approximately 420 students aged 4-11 years. The school is part of the Wootton Park Academy Trust and follows a vision founded on strong academic achievement, developing strong values, and promoting citizenship, community, and service. The school emphasizes kindness, responsibility, and fostering a supportive community where every child can thrive. The school building is a flagship state-of-the-art sustainable new build featuring a green roof, solar panels, living walls, natural light and ventilation, and outdoor spaces including a forest school, habitat area, amphitheatre, trim trail, multi-use games area (MUGA), and a large hardstanding playground. While the permanent building is scheduled for completion by September 2026, the Reception learners are temporarily hosted at Wootton Park School, the sister school within the same trust. The teaching team is led by Headteacher Mrs Kayleigh Smith, formerly Vice Principal at Wootton Park School.
