## About

We are a voluntary controlled primary school with a joint Church of England and Methodist Foundation, enjoying links with our founder churches, St. John the Baptist Hey and Zion Methodist Church. Our motto is simple: “to do the best we can” and it encapsulates all that we do. We are proud of every one of our pupils, from our Year Six pupils who can sit GCSEs while still at primary school to our Nursery pupils learning to count and to write their names, and we are proud of our ex-pupils, too, many of whom we have heard go on to achieve much success in the future.

## Recent parent reviews

- **4/5** — Good school but some issues with communication: My child is happy at Hey with Zion Primary School, but I have found the communication from the school to be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes we hear from the teacher, but other times we don't hear anything at all. That being said, the school's approach to learning and the facilities are excellent. *(Oct 2022)*
- **5/5** — Excellent school and values: I have nothing but praise for Hey with Zion Primary School. My daughter attended this school from Year 1 and the values they taught her, such as love, hope and aspire, have stayed with her to this day. The school's commitment to inclusivity and community is also something that sets it apart. *(Sep 2022)*
- **5/5** — Outstanding school with excellent academic standards: We are thrilled with the progress our child has made at Hey with Zion Primary School. The school's academic standards are high, and the teachers are very supportive and encouraging. We feel confident that our child will do well in their GCSEs next year. *(Jul 2022)*
- **5/5** — Excellent facilities and staff: We have been impressed with the facilities at Hey with Zion Primary School, particularly the gym and the swimming pool. The staff are also very friendly and supportive, and my child feels happy and safe at school. *(Apr 2022)*
