About Richard Coates Church of England Primary School

We are proud of being a Church school at the heart of the local community where everyone is valued and respected as a unique individual. Our school motto, “Let Your Light Shine” is taken from the gospel of St Matthew and encapsulates the aim of our school; to ensure each child achieves their full potential academically, socially and personally, making the most of the gifts and talents they have been given.

"Exceptional School with a Loving Atmosphere"

I have been thoroughly impressed with Richard Coates CE Primary School. My child has thrived in the supportive and nurturing environment. The 'Let Your Light Shine' motto is truly evident in the way the teachers encourage and help each child to reach their full potential.

"A School that Cares"

My child attended Richard Coates CE Primary School a few years ago and I was delighted with the education and care they received. The staff were always approachable and supportive, and the extra-curricular activities were fantastic. I would highly recommend this school to any parent.

"Room for Improvement"

We have been pleased with the basics at Richard Coates CE Primary School, but there are areas that need improvement. The facilities are okay, but not the best. The values of kindness, respect, and resilience are great, but sometimes I feel like they are not consistently enforced.
