This school is quite a good one if you want to be a successful person. However, the journey is tough because the way they handle certain situations is very poor. Fights can happen at any time, and a lot of the time they advance a lot before something gets done about it. And they barely do anything about these problems, so they can continue for a long time. The food is also extremely unhealthy, I have never eaten lunch made by the school, but all I see are Pizzas and Paninis. Also, a lot of the teachers are fine, but some teachers also don't care much about the students. Personally, I have had some very good moments at this school, but also a lot of bad ones. In summary, a good school for learning and memory creation, but poor in most other aspects.

i currently go to this school and i absolutely hate it, the teachers don't care at all., they don't treat the well behaved children as they should they dont even get noticed they put all there attention on the bad kids teachers will be horrible to students which will end up with the students slipping then they end up getting excluded the first aider is never in and ive seen multiple pupils crying and upset because they dont feel well snd just get sent back to lesson the food tastes awful theirs moulds in the paninis and pasta the pizza tastes like carboard, all the teachers are constantly in a bad mood theres only around 3-4 good teachers half of them dont know what their doing, theres food all over the floor outside so theres always seagull's pooing on people the students are horrible i saw this girl in a couple years below get jumped right outside her head of years office and they diddnt do anything about it ive seen loads of year 8s skipping, the amount of fight in the school is awful, the bullying is absolutely shocking i dont reccomend this school

I found mold on my pasta and all the food tastes horrible and there’s not enough fit lads

The other day I caught two alien abductions outside of M block yard so doing what I can do I jumped up atleast 100ft into the air the proceeded to mess around with this UFO, I then broke in before the abduction could happen as the other 2 I haven't mentioned the kids weren't seen again, it was a troubled fight but at the end I was able to do a round house kick into the aliens jaw and it ripped clean off, the alien stared at me like he was about to faint, his blacked eyes stared at me like the night sky before the alien started to fall.. I brought the UFO and gave it back to the police department for further investigation before jumping my way to Dwr Y Felin again. I hope this review doesn't go unnoticed since I put true dedication for this schools safety.. I don't like history though.

Absolutely shit school they don't care about your health if you feel I'll and want to go home you will most likely get a "no because your attendance is like 80%" absolutely mank the cleaners need to work harder and none of the toilet locks work,

It’s dirty, smelly, the subjects aren’t great, don’t learn much but some teachers are really nice. Others aren’t.

wish i could give this school -10 stars knowing how shite it is, whatever you do, do not let your child go to this school OR any school if possible, let you child make their own decision this school is so fucked and corrupt only like 2 good teachers, they dont even care if you want to kill yourself, xoxo

As a year 11, the school has decent learning and Decent reasoning, but they really, and i don’t say this light heartedly they really need to sort out other blocks other then A block, b block had male genitals all over the walls, windows have a few cracks, walls are peeling as they have painted over stuff like Gum, the entire block needs to be redone as the floors in upstairs B24 have rotting floor tiles. C clock you can’t close a few of windows in, theres drawings all over walls, and T block and M block are genuinely looking medieval, A block harshly bashes out as of it is modern themed, the school doesn’t help with bullying, racism, homophobia or even transphobia, as a trans man of 6 years you have to pay £80 just to change a name on a register, which is honestly horrible considering i’ve used the same name for years now, When it comes to mental health the counselling is genuinely really bad, The amount of kids vapeing behind M block and behind A block is vile, and the amount of slurs getting yelled per day is horrible. the learning how ever is really good depending on the teacher, a personal opinion of mine is that any bad teacher is a welsh,history,ict, or art teacher, the uniform code isn’t strict where as haircut and hair-dye rules are, the behaviour of older kids that were there before me is shocking. overall the school is decent for GCSE’s and Learning but definitely not for Mental being.

Absolute Rubbish. As a boy with autism, I strongly disagree with how they did not meet my needs, causing me to go into a full nervous breakdown. If you ever decide to send your child with special needs, Be prepared.

When I left year 11, I was really sad because this school had a large impact on my life. However, when I was being bullied by my ex friends they did nothing to stop it. They just suggested being friends with them because the person was a good person and it made me upset that I was going to be put in that position. Overall, the teaching aspects of this school were amazing and the teachers really helped me achieve my best but you will always have some teachers who do not care.

Very good compared to other schools in the area. Teachers are mostly friendly and accepting and a couple very good teachers in each subject. People complain about bullying issues which is in every school and just isn't easy to deal with anywhere. I always felt safe to go to certain teachers but most people like to be left alone or have the fear of parents being told about their issues. The school do a good job of teaching what is required by wjec but not at sex education or life beyond school which I think is more of a wjec curriculum issue.
I'm disappointed that there wasn't many small trip opportunities through out the years, yes covid did get in the way, but a thousand pounds for a trip is a lot and unaffordable for some making us feel left out. Also, if the school could catter towards visual, phisical and other learns that would be great at helping students. I'm proud to say I went to this school and hope that issues can be resolved and improvements.

Left year 11 last year. They claimed they cared about us but they evidently didn’t. I’m in no doubt that we will not be receiving a proper leavers assembly once this covid stuff is all over. I mean a virtual live session surely isn’t too much to ask for either but apparently it is lol! They don’t give a damn if you’re being bullied, never have and never will! This school severely lacks cultural diversity, DONT COME HERE IF YOU ARE NOT WHITE otherwise you’re just asking for trouble!!! Racism is a huge issue here, and that’s coming from someone who’s white. Our trips to Disneyland, skiing and other huge events were cancelled (this was before covid) purely because the teachers “didn’t want to take us” but decided to take us to nazi camps for £600+ just to stop the parents complaining. They claim to be a “healthy school” but serve pizza and paninis every single day. Teachers pretended like they cared about you but once you’ve left they’ll forget you exist, they just wanted the pay check at the end of the day. And not to mention how awful the head of year was. Although there were a few good times, most of my memories consist of bad ones. In all honesty I wish I had never gone to this school I’m sorry but I probably would’ve had a much better experience elsewhere. That is my honest opinion take it or leave it

I mean the least they could’ve done is given us our leavers assembly virtually live but apparently not. The head of year wasn’t very nice. In all I sometimes wish I never went to this school.

During lockdown the old year 11 received no communication from teachers.

Don't go. It's shit. They will not teach yoou what's needed and will make your life hell. You won't get the support you need and will just be taken advantage of

when covid came along not many of the younger year groups (7,8 and 9) were wearing their masks or wearing them properly (above the nose ffs) not a poggers moment at the school currently as they don't communicate with students well at all because i had been called by the councillor there a good couple of times but no one told me. don't get me started on bullying. this school isn't my little pogchamp at all.
