My first few years at this school have been incredibly enjoyable and I’ve never had any problems with the teachers, however, looking at the new uniform policy I cannot put into words how enraged I feel but I will attempt to conveign them here now. We are no longer allowed to wear anything that gives us individuality, for example, we are only allowed ‘plain black coats’, ‘no jewellery’, ‘no scarves’, ‘all rucksacks must be plain black’ and so much more. The bad reviews we saw nearly put us off but I am very glad we continued on the path to get our daughter in! The school clearly has an excellent academic reputation but I was pleasantly surprised with the pastoral care. Similarly, when I had a query about one of my daughter's pieces of homework, I emailed the teacher to sort out a misunderstanding and was astounded when he telephoned me to explain the situation. I haven't seen, heard or experienced any of the bullying or 'sense of lad culture' talked about in other reviews.
