Above that, most staff are lovely and supportive. *(Sep 2022)* - **5/5** — A True Community Feel at Highfield: Having moved to the area last year, I was a bit nervous about sending my daughter to Highfield, but the school has truly exceeded our expectations. The 'Caring, Respectful and Determined' values are evident in everything they do, from the amazing pastoral team to the incredible extracurricular programs. My daughter loves the crochet club and the World Challenge students are so inspiring. We feel so lucky to be a part of the Highfield community! *(Sep 2022)* - **1/5** — Shorts: You can’t wear shorts in the summer so your boiling *(Jul 2022)* - **2/5** — Break periods: My main problem is that I feel unsafe during the break periods as people are always fighting, starting arguments, kicking things around and throwing food, plus the staff usually don’t notice. *(May 2022)* - **4/5** — A Good, But Not Perfect, Experience So Far: We've been at Highfield for a year now, and while it's been a generally positive experience for our daughter, there are a few areas that need some improvement. The school's focus on British values is lovely, but sometimes it feels like it's at the expense of other important aspects of education. We've also had some issues with communication from the school, which can be frustrating. That being said, the staff are mostly lovely and the facilities are excellent, so we're giving it a bit more time … *(Mar 2022)* - **5/5** — Highly recommended: My step daughter has been at highfield for 2 years now and is thriving beyond our expectations. This is down to the teachers and all the staff in the SEN department. *(Jan 2022)* - **5/5** — An amazing school: A great school with a diverse staff and students. Very welcoming school and a great sixth form. They have many opportunities for students with sporting and the annual winter showcase or whole school production. *(Feb 2021)* - **3/5** — Read this: I go there and they are bad at making sense One way system I understand but am l1 for being late is ridiculous you will notice the same people keep using it as an excuse but sometimes people can’t help it No going to the toilet in lessons ok but doing 3 hrs in a row is horrible with no toilet break especially as a woman *(Jan 2021)* ## Other schools in Letchworth Garden City - [St. Francis' College](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/letchworth-garden-city/st-francis-college-7196) — 4.7/5 (4 reviews) - [Norton St Nicholas CofE (VA) Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/letchworth-garden-city/norton-st-nicholas-cofe-va-primary-school-7132) — 4.7/5 (4 reviews) - [Garden City Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/letchworth-garden-city/garden-city-academy-13749) — 4.5/5 (4 reviews) - [Woolgrove School, Special Needs Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/letchworth-garden-city/woolgrove-school-special-needs-academy-13433) — 4.7/5 (3 reviews) - [St Thomas More Roman Catholic Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/letchworth-garden-city/st-thomas-more-roman-catholic-primary-school-13725) — 4.7/5 (3 reviews) - [Stonehill School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/letchworth-garden-city/stonehill-school-7064) — 4.7/5 (3 reviews) --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
