About Balance Alternative Provision

Balance is an Alternative Provision established to meet the needs of young people who are disengaged in a mainstream setting. We offer a combination of Academic, Vocational and Life skills, focussing on keeping a balanced Curriculum that boosts our students' Cultural Capital.

"A fresh start for our daughter"

We've been really impressed with the support and care that Balance AP has shown our daughter. The staff are approachable and understanding, and the programs they offer have really helped her to stay on track with her education. She's actually started to enjoy learning again which is a huge relief for us as parents.

"A positive experience for our son"

We sent our son to Balance AP after he struggled to fit in at his mainstream school. We were a bit apprehensive at first, but the staff were fantastic and really helped him to find his feet. He enjoyed the construction classes and made some great friends. We're so grateful for the support they gave him.

"Mixed feelings about our experience"

We've had a bit of a mixed experience with Balance AP. The staff are lovely and our child enjoys the Hair & Beauty classes, but we feel that the support for students with special educational needs could be better. We've also found the communication from the school to be a bit hit and miss at times.
