## About

Wark C of E Primary School is situated in the small village of Wark north of Hexham, and most of its pupils come from the surrounding villages, farms and hamlets. Our school vision is ‘Growing Well’, drawing on the parable of the mustard seed in Matthew 13.31-32: ‘He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.’

## Recent parent reviews

- **4/5** — Some Room for Improvement: We've been happy with Wark C of E Primary School overall, but there have been a few issues with communication and organisation. The 'Messy Church' program is a great idea, but it's not always well-promoted to parents. With a bit of tweaking, this school could be even better! *(Jan 2021)*
- **5/5** — Wonderful School Experience: We've been so impressed with Wark C of E Primary School. The facilities are excellent, with a great playground for the kids to burn off energy. The 'Growing Well' values are really evident in the staff and children, and we love the way they incorporate the local church into the school life. *(Sep 2020)*
- **5/5** — A Hidden Gem in the Countryside: As a former parent of Wark C of E Primary School, I can highly recommend it. The small class sizes and dedicated staff really care for each child's individual needs. The school's commitment to the community is also lovely to see. *(May 2019)*
