## About

Orsett Heath Academy opened its doors to our first cohort in September 2020. During the first year of opening, all of the fundamentals that underpin achievement in a successful school were established; high expectations, a broad and balanced curriculum, first class teaching by experienced teachers, strong pastoral care, an exceptional extra-curricular offer and a strong sense of community.

## Recent parent reviews

- **5/5** — Lovely school with a warm community: I've been blown away by the care and support my child has received since joining Orsett Heath Academy. The values of kindness, respect and perseverance are truly embedded in the school's culture and it's wonderful to see the children grow and learn together. The facilities are also impressive, especially the sports facilities which my child loves to use during breaks. *(Jun 2022)*
- **4/5** — Great start to our children's education: We moved to the area recently and were initially worried about our children settling into a new school. However, the reception staff at Orsett Heath Academy were so welcoming and helpful, it really made the transition smooth. The curriculum is engaging and challenging, and my child has really enjoyed the extracurricular activities on offer. *(Mar 2022)*
- **4/5** — Some positives, but room for improvement: I'd say Orsett Heath Academy has been a decent choice for my child's education, but there are areas where they could improve. The pastoral care is generally good, but sometimes the communication with parents could be better. The sports programme is a highlight, though! The staff are mostly friendly and supportive, but a few have been quite dismissive when we've raised concerns. *(Sep 2021)*
