Sir Thomas Rich's School is a highly successful, caring and forward-thinking school, which aims to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of the future. We pride ourselves on the pursuit of excellence inside and outside the classroom. Founded in 1666, we are an academically selective school in the City of Gloucester, admitting 150 boys into Year 7, with a large, vibrant coeducational Sixth Form.

"Excellent start to secondary school"

We've been incredibly impressed with the school so far. The transition from primary to secondary has been seamless, and our son has settled in quickly. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, and the teachers are approachable and helpful.

"Fantastic school experience"

My son has had a fantastic experience at STRS, the teachers are supportive and knowledgeable, and the facilities are excellent. I particularly appreciate the emphasis on character development and community service, it's clear that the school values its pupils beyond their academic abilities.

"Mixed experience"

We've had a mixed experience at STRS. The school has excellent facilities and a strong sense of community, but we've found the workload to be quite demanding at times. Our son is working hard to keep up, but we're not sure if the school is the right fit for him.

"Nurturing environment"

My son attended STRS a few years ago and I was consistently impressed with the nurturing environment. The staff went above and beyond to support his learning and well-being, and the values of the school are genuinely embedded in the culture. We were sad to leave the school when he moved on to sixth form.
