The learning was so bad was put in all the bottoms sets went to a different school and found out I was actually capable of doing much harder work but soham limited me. All the teachers we horrible and one of them was racist to me and I reported it and got called a liar by my head of year *(Dec 2023)* - **1/5** — Worst school in the uk: Worst school my child has ever been to- they got severely bullied THIS year so very recent. The school was aware of all of it and as it was my child vs multiple they did no care at all. They let it get worse until the children got physically violent with my child and hurt my child. The school issued no sanctions (no detentions, exclusions) when they was at the scene at the end but did not care in the slightest. All the child have no manners and are all bullies as the school allows them to be. Th… *(Sep 2023)* - **5/5** — Amazing: Amazing support. One of the best in Cambridgeshire only downside is the food *(Jul 2023)* - **1/5** — Cams in toilets: There are cameras in the toilet *(May 2023)* - **1/5** — Horrible shitty school: They don’t deal with racism they don’t give 2 shits at all *(Apr 2023)* - **5/5** — An excellent school that truly cares: We've been part of the Soham Village College community for two years now, and I'm constantly impressed by the staff's dedication to our child's education. They offer an amazing range of curricular and extra-curricular opportunities, and my child has thrived in their supportive environment. *(Feb 2023)* - **2/5** — Good grades but exceptionally poor student care: There is utterly horrific handling of bullying and bigotry. From experience, the person bullying etc. is directed at is challenged and questioned by the school beyond reason and said person is the one who has to change to attempt to resolve a problem. The offenders are not punished or dealt with correctly. In my time there I can remember one singular case of repercussions for actions, this being one day in an exclusion room for persistent extreme racism after the issue was raised to the correct … *(Dec 2022)* - **3/5** — Terrible school, saved only by lovely teachers: The teachers were all fantastic, very kind and patient people and very friendly as well. The head of year was not good, she failed to take note of any issues students had and did not help, even when the situation was very serious. For example, the school had very high sexual abuse and harassment rates, and very little was done about this, even when students went to her and asked for action to be taken. She brushed off these students and dismissed them. As well as this, bullying was a serious iss… *(Oct 2022)* - **5/5** — Outstanding education and amazing memories: My child progressed significantly while attending Soham Village College, thanks to their excellent teaching and resources. The school's values of achieving excellence with care really shine through in the way they support their students, both academically and personally. *(Aug 2022)* ## Other schools in Ely - [St Andrew's CofE Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/ely/st-andrews-cofe-primary-school-16307) — 4.8/5 (4 reviews) - [Ely College](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/ely/ely-college-17849) — 4.8/5 (4 reviews) - [The Shade Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/ely/the-shade-primary-school-14690) — 4.5/5 (4 reviews) - [Little Thetford CofE Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/ely/little-thetford-cofe-primary-school-22958) — 4.5/5 (4 reviews) - [Mepal and Witcham Church of England Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/ely/mepal-and-witcham-church-of-england-primary-school-16053) — 4.8/5 (3 reviews) - [Millfield Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/ely/millfield-primary-school-17089) — 4.8/5 (3 reviews) --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
