The facilities are modern and well-maintained, and I've been impressed by the range of extracurricular activities on offer. My only criticism would be that the school meals could be improved. *(Jun 2025)* - **5/5** — Outstanding School with a Positive Atmosphere: I've been blown away by the progress my daughter has made since joining Harlington Upper School. The teachers are all very approachable and go above and beyond to ensure the students are happy and successful. The school's commitment to inclusivity and well-being is also something that sets it apart from other schools in the area. *(May 2025)* - **2/5** — Stop with these unreasonable rules: I'm really disappointed with the way this school is going as of late. When the no hair ties on wrist rule came in I thought that was the worst it could've gotten but alas it's surpassed any expectations of ridiculous that is possible. A new rule has been put in place as a teacher was "shoved on the stairs" by year 10 students and instead of disciplining or controlling those students, a rule has been put in place where you can only turn left. Say I have a lesson two doors down to the right, I am … *(Apr 2025)* - **4/5** — harlington upper school: good school the teachers are nice and they care about education and wellbeing *(Sep 2024)* - **1/5** — I wouldn’t recommend: I tried to get a key to my son but the receptionist told me it was too difficult to get stuff to a child throughout day!! No surprise really with the experience I had whilst my daughter was there, seem to have issues with bullying then, but son seems happy so… Ended up contacting local police on an ongoing report I have filed for something that if they find a 14 year old wondering streets school were unwilling to help!! *(Sep 2024)* - **1/5** — **** genuine review *****: If i could put zero stars I would, this review isn’t out of spite or rebellion it’s the truth. Although there are a handful of lovely & caring teachers. The ones that are greatly authoritative are awful. The teachers are disrespectful towards students & parents but expect the respect to be reciprocated? absolutely not. There is a great lack of consideration of how the children feel as a majority of the staff have a great sense of self entitlement. All of these plus many more negatives were parti… *(Jul 2024)* - **1/5** — miss harris should get a new job: im not over exaggerating but im pretty sure this is a prison. im not allowed to take a wazz during lessons and im raging, miss harris is a girlypop and is extremely rude and entitled. please save your self its absolutely horrific here. also miss harris if you see this i hate you xx *(Jun 2024)* - **1/5** — The school is a dictatorship: I don’t even know where to begin with this school. It’s more like a military boot camp than a place of education. My daughter is in year 10 and the amount of phone calls I have had over minute things have been astonishing and the punishments way outweigh the crime. For example, they decided to clamp down on uniform (fair enough) but the constant detentions, isolations and even exclusions for something as small as a top button being undone is astounding. The kids can never do right. The school sh… *(May 2024)* - **1/5** — Discrimination: Absolutely disgusted with the way the school has handled my son's one mistake there. Schools should have a duty of care but the SLT have made an example of my child. Racism and not looked into possible sen needs. The school are only concerned with what looks good on paper. *(Nov 2023)* ## Other schools in Dunstable - [Queensbury Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/dunstable/queensbury-academy-13892) — 1.9/5 (12 reviews) - [The Vale Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/dunstable/the-vale-academy-14010) — 4.7/5 (4 reviews) - [Dunstable Icknield Lower School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/dunstable/dunstable-icknield-lower-school-23958) — 4.6/5 (4 reviews) - [Edlesborough Primary Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/dunstable/edlesborough-primary-academy-21600) — 4.2/5 (4 reviews) - [Harlington Lower School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/dunstable/harlington-lower-school-14197) — 4.8/5 (3 reviews) - [Priory Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/dunstable/priory-academy-13581) — 4.8/5 (3 reviews) --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
