- **1/5** — Terrible school, parents be aware.: This school seems good on the outside, but it really isn't. They shove (roughly) seventy girls in one changing room for PE, completely disregarding the fact that it is incredibly crowded in there. They don't let some Muslim students change in the bathrooms for religious reasons. They don't care if you need support - I only have a pass to go to the front of the lunch queue because my best friend's mother works there. - **1/5** — From personal experience please don't apply there it isn't worth it.: As a student who attends this school I can easily say it is terrible. If you are academic and can handle pressure and high expectations then maybe you'll be okay, but if you struggle with stress or anxiety like I do the this is probably not the best school to choose. They do have SEN provisions and people you can talk who are very nice but that doesn't solve all the problems. The punishments given are extremely harsh and when i tell you this school destroyed me and changed me in every way a person can be destroyed, i mean it. Gilberd is the type of school that is only good if you are a smart student or have no learning/personal problems, otherwise, it’s despicable . I have enrolled both of my child to this school after going through such a warm and welcoming introduction day, rather this was the moment I have realised I have made the biggest mistake of my life, taking away their childhood and their joyful personality….. - **2/5** — My experience of the Gilberd: It’s not the worst but it’s still pretty bad.I have just left this year and think that there were way too many petty and not needed rules.Furthermore the separation between sets and students is rather insulting to those who are in the bottom sets like 5 and 6 as they are usually put with misbehaving kids.The food is alright a bit overpriced but it’s pretty good.They are also extremely pushy with studying and revision which is great if your child can handle it.Overall the Gilberd School isn’t the… *(Jun 2023)*
