No support currently for these children. Everyone is too busy to speak to parents, day after day, week after week. *(May 2023)* - **1/5** — Bully boy tactics!: Brookfield directly discriminate against and exclude children with special needs. When raised with the school, threats are made to parents and said pupils. *(May 2023)* - **3/5** — Lunch is below average despite good food: The school is overall good- nice opportunities wide range of extra curricular activities but the form system really brings it down for me. Everyone is in one of five houses: Froggat, Gardoms, Baslow, Birchen and Curbar. The houses are then split into forms, mixed groups of about four of each year group. There’re around 8 forms in each house I think. Form is from 11:50-12:15, just after 3rd period and before lunch. Form takes place in a randomly allocated classroom (houses are near each other). F… *(May 2023)* - **1/5** — OUR CHILDREN DESERVE BETTER: doesn't even deserve one.Staff not bothered don't do anything about bullying or any sort of physical fighting absolutely ridiculous IF YOU SEND YOUR CHILD HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT ! *(Jan 2023)* - **4/5** — Mixed start to the school year: My child is still settling in at Brookfield, and while they love the school's atmosphere and the staff are friendly, they're finding some of the work challenging. I'm hoping the school will be able to provide more support soon. *(Nov 2022)* - **1/5** — Terrible school: Well known in the area for being an awful school. I moved one child to another school who wasn’t teaching any of his targets and was repeatedly being bullied to which the school didn’t act in accordance with their no bullying policy. Since moving school my child achieved all his GCSEs, is now doing A levels and is happy and confidant. My youngest child sadly still attends Brookfield as he doesn’t want to move. He has had a recent diagnoses of ADHD. Brookfield are doing absolutely nothing to supp… *(Oct 2022)* - **4/5** — Honest opinion: Pretty good, got bullied and didn’t do a lot but other than that had some great times here and met some cool people and cool teachers. *(Oct 2022)* - **5/5** — Excellent school with wonderful teachers: We've been at Brookfield for three years now, and I'm so impressed with the school's values and the way they're preparing our children for the future. The facilities are also fantastic, and my child loves the Life 360 programme. *(Jun 2022)* - **5/5** — Great school with a supportive community: My child attended Brookfield from Year 7 to Year 11, and we had a wonderful experience. The teachers were always available to help, and the school's focus on character education really stood out. *(Sep 2021)* - **1/5** — My honest opinion on this school: It's not very good the lessons are boring they try and make them interesting but fail tremendously the food is over priced and it's really strict if your 1 min late you get your conduct card signed that's the end of my review :) *(Dec 2020)* ## Other schools in Chesterfield - [Outwood Academy Hasland Hall](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/chesterfield/outwood-academy-hasland-hall-21692) — 1.5/5 (16 reviews) - [St Mary's Catholic High School, A Catholic Voluntary Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/chesterfield/st-marys-catholic-high-school-a-catholic-voluntary-academy-13815) — 2.6/5 (14 reviews) - [Outwood Academy Newbold](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/chesterfield/outwood-academy-newbold-16185) — 1.8/5 (14 reviews) - [Inkersall Spencer Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/chesterfield/inkersall-spencer-academy-16709) — 2.7/5 (9 reviews) - [Parkside Community School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/chesterfield/parkside-community-school-22520) — 3.1/5 (7 reviews) - [Palterton Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/chesterfield/palterton-primary-school-23436) — 4.8/5 (4 reviews) --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
