Not sure what's gone wrong with the school. The building is very old. *(Jun 2025)* - **1/5** — Review of dyffryn taf: The people are very mean and toxic .the rules are too much and there is too many fights *(Jul 2023)* - **1/5** — Absolutely terrible.: This school is hell. Bullying takes place and teachers don’t care, the colour of your socks. yes SOCKS is more important. Every class has behavioural issues that are not addressed. I have only been at the school for a few months but it has destroyed my mental health. People walk past you calling you names, saying you’re anorexic etc, IT MUST STOP. They need to sort everything out. *(May 2023)* - **1/5** — Pretty bad ngl: Do not recommend this school. Its so overly strict on uniform that you can end up in after school detention for having the wrong type of shoe material Overall I’d say half of the staff are decent but the other half are unsupportive and some probably shouldn’t even be teaching. I had one teacher who taught me for gcse then after the first year we were told that they werent able to teach gcse anymore because they missed out half of the gcse unit Another point to make is the food, if you do end up … *(Oct 2022)* - **2/5** — wouldn’t recommend: wouldn’t recommend bullying happens , but the staff do little to nothing about it. the uniform is oddly specific and they care more about the color of your socks than your mental health *(Jun 2022)* - **3/5** — Best in the area: Many of the staff were willing to help but only if you are willing to learn. i completed my gcses here and i am very happy with my results. as many other comments have said, bullying is something that occurs in the school. i’ve heard of this happening in classrooms consistently and teachers going nothing about this. i do believe that the teachers are trying their best and the school has had some improvements over the years. *(Oct 2021)* - **1/5** — Terrible environment: Whole place is an awful environment. I experience homophobia almost daily here. The rules are about as inconsistent as the uniform policy, and teachers will bend or even change those rules based on whether or not they ‘like’ you personally. There’s a serious bullying problem and the staff plain don’t care, nothing is done about it. The one thing I’ve learned about this place is that almost nobody cares about how you feel. Almost every aspect of this place is unfair and nothing is done. If you’re… *(Oct 2021)* - **2/5** — Wouldn't recommend: Below Average school, staff are mediocre at best. The uniform policy is frustratingly specific but only selectively enforced. Bullying is just something that happens, staff even part take time to time. The staff make up their own rules to prove their point and there is no consistency in rules across the school. *(Sep 2021)* ## Other schools in Carmarthenshire - [Bryngwyn Comprehensive School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/carmarthenshire/bryngwyn-comprehensive-school-25686) — 1.9/5 (11 reviews) - [Coedcae School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/carmarthenshire/coedcae-school-25683) — 1.8/5 (11 reviews) - [Ysgol Gyfun Y Strade](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/carmarthenshire/ysgol-gyfun-y-strade-25684) — 1.9/5 (9 reviews) - [Ysgol Dyffryn Aman](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/carmarthenshire/ysgol-dyffryn-aman-25682) — 1.6/5 (7 reviews) - [Ysgol Glan-Y-Mor School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/carmarthenshire/ysgol-glan-y-mor-school-25685) — 1.2/5 (6 reviews) - [Queen Elizabeth High](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/carmarthenshire/queen-elizabeth-high-25896) — 4.5/5 (2 reviews) --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
