## About

Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf is a Welsh-medium coeducational secondary school located in Llandaff North, Cardiff. Established in 1978 as the first Welsh-medium secondary school in Cardiff, it has grown to become the largest of its kind in Wales, with approximately 1,400 students. The school emphasizes teaching most subjects through the medium of Welsh, fostering a strong Welsh cultural identity and language proficiency among its pupils. It offers education from ages 11 to 18, including preparation for the Welsh Baccalaureate examination in the sixth form. The school has a history of academic success and a vibrant community ethos, promoting respect, individual development, and pride in Welsh heritage. Facilities have evolved over time, including a period when younger pupils were taught at a separate site, but now all students are housed at the main Bridge Road site.

- **4/5** — Decent experience: A lot of opportunities for students in terms of creativity, education, and sports. In terms of mental health support, teachers are able to support children with problems containing exams or daily school life. *(May 2023)*
- **3/5** — Glantaf is fine but is: Some great teachers and a great selection of different classes and sports but homophobia among the students is pretty bad. The teachers fail to do much about it as well. Overall a good school with a few miscommunication problems among teachers and students but that’s what we’ve come to expect from most schools. *(Sep 2021)*
- **1/5** — EEEEEEEE: Finger slipped Oopsies well I’m not wrong lol *(Oct 2020)*
