## About

Cantonian High School is an English-medium mixed comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 18, located on Fairwater Road in Fairwater, Cardiff. Originally opened in 1907 as Canton Municipal Secondary School, it has evolved through several name changes and relocations, settling in its current Fairwater site in 1962 and becoming a comprehensive school in 1969. The school serves the west Cardiff area and currently has around 900 students, with numbers growing. It offers a broad curriculum including academic, vocational, and sporting programs, and is recognized for its improving performance in recent Estyn inspections. Cardiff Council has plans to rebuild and expand the school, including enhancing its Sixth Form capacity and providing specialist resources for students with autism spectrum disorder.
