- **1/5**: Main difficulty: My child has not been supported what so ever through their academic studies during BGS. When my child asks for help most of her teachers say “read your notes”. The teachers do as minimum work as possible, where they just read of powerpoints NOT TEACHING Area: Academic pressure, Behaviour support What could improve: It would help if the teachers actually backed the children and helped them during their school life but also at critical times such as A Levels which my children did … *(May 2026)*

- **2/5** — Not worth it: not worth the money at all, the teachers don't listen to the students concerns, their 'safeguarding team' is completely useless as barely any kids go and no wonder when there's a chance of having that one patronising woman! Yes some of the teachers were amazing for my kid, especially the humanities department, however i would not send any of my other kids there. Don't waste the money, if anything pick Bolton School. - **1/5** — Don’t work here and think twice about sending your children!: The worst place to work - there is an accepted culture of bullying and the people at the top are the biggest problem. Staff are burnt out and paid off for fun; no good character and partnerships displayed to staff, although the school pretends to excel in these areas. Staff are made to feel incredibly disposable and aren’t happy, but aren’t supported to discuss this. They’re too scared that there’ll be a witch hunt and their job will be on the line. - **3/5** — Bury Grammar Coursework.: I am currently in year 13 and studying for my a levels this minute - i have had no problems with bury throughout high school however when i entered sixth form there was a drastic change in dynamic. One of the departments which i felt let me down entirely was the geography department. For geography there is a coursework section which equates to around 20% of the final grade - i am entering a competitive field of study at university so for me it was pivitol to achieve an adequate percent of this. … *(May 2024)*
