Unless you live locally getting to a d from school is a huge challenge. *(Sep 2024)* - **1/5** — Living hell: It’s Living hell. If I had the choice to go to any other school I would. Teachers favour students and sometimes make some girls feel uncomfortable . Teachers are way to strict. I won’t send my future children here. *(Aug 2023)* - **1/5** — AVOID THIS SCHOOL: My daughter started at this school last November. From day one she was bullied and assaulted, not just physically but sexually. Today she was shoved to the ground because she was standing up for her friend because he was once again getting picked. Teachers do NOTHING about the bullying. I am getting the police involved and the BBC. This school has made my daughter's mental health suffer so bad that she now has PTSD. The bullies at this school get zero punishment. I am not prepared to let this sc… *(Jun 2023)* - **4/5** — Overall Good Experience: We've had a good experience at Winterbourne so far. The teachers are knowledgeable and the enrichment programs are really engaging. However, we've had some issues with communication from the school and the facilities could be improved. Overall, we're happy with the progress our child is making. *(Feb 2023)* - **5/5** — Amazing: This school is amazing *(Dec 2022)* - **5/5** — Experience of WA: Both my boys had a fantastic experience at Winterbourne Academy. Both my boys started with an average academic grade, and they both finished with A's and A* at A Level. The extra curricular activities they both did really enhanced their experience and they often talk about them to this day! I would recommend Winterbourne Academy to anyone. Thankyou to all the past and present staff, you all do a brilliant job. *(Nov 2022)* - **5/5** — Excellent: I am very happy with the support my child receives from the school. The teachers are always on hand to answer any questions or concerns and feel they know my child. It has a lovely community feel and will be sending my next child here when it’s time. *(Nov 2022)* - **5/5** — Excellent School Experience: We've been at Winterbourne Academy for 3 years now and it's been an amazing journey. The staff are supportive, the facilities are great and the PRIDE values really do shine through. My child has thrived here and we're so grateful for the opportunities they've been given. *(Sep 2022)* - **1/5** — The Worst Part Of My Life: This school is the reason i have been diagnosed with PTSD. It is the worst part of my life and I'm still having to spend so much of my hard earned money on psychiatric help to try and overcome the trauma it gave me. I attended until 2019, and from the extreme obsession this school has with appearances I'd assumed it would be diligent about education as well. I was incorrect - if you have absolutely any problems that make you struggle to learn you will dropped into foundation, and at that point y… *(Aug 2022)* - **5/5** — Fantastic Support for My Child: I have nothing but praise for Winterbourne Academy. My child attended the school for 6 years and the support they received was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to ensure they had the best possible chance of success. We're so grateful for the education and experiences they had. *(Jun 2021)* ## Other schools in Bristol - [Oasis Academy Brightstowe](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/oasis-academy-brightstowe-11752) — 1.5/5 (41 reviews) - [Blaise High School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/blaise-high-school-20858) — 1.5/5 (28 reviews) - [Cotham School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/cotham-school-13000) — 1.3/5 (23 reviews) - [Mangotsfield School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/mangotsfield-school-16677) — 1.5/5 (22 reviews) - [Sir Bernard Lovell Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/sir-bernard-lovell-academy-16402) — 1.8/5 (17 reviews) - [Oasis Academy Brislington](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/oasis-academy-brislington-16392) — 1.8/5 (14 reviews) --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
