I’ve attended this school between 2012-2017, I was bullied non stop due to my mental health issues. Teachers would do nothing about it apart from “a talk” which would do nothing. If your child defends themselves the child will be blamed, given detentions, isolation etc. They only care when you leave truthful reviews that might “ruin their reputation.” I ended up in a psychiatric unit due multiple suicide … *(Feb 2024)* - **1/5** — Bullying: I and my sibling were both bullied at that school. Don’t send your child there if you don’t want them to be traumatised for life. I still have nightmares about the incidents that occurred. The receptionists and teachers are useless and don’t do anything to defend those who actually need it. Still regret not fully speaking up. For a Christian school it is not Christian like at all. *(Sep 2023)* - **1/5** — Extremely bad: EXTREMELY BAD NO FIELDS BORRIBLE TEACHERS RUDE PEOPLE TINY SCHOOL *(Jun 2023)* - **5/5** — Outstanding school: Extremely outstanding school that both my children attended one still there. SMRT being the best school they ever went too. The care and understanding thought in RE and alive values and their education makes for a more rounded person confident and prepared for the life and career they aspire to be. Not having too many GCSEs so the young person doesn’t suffer mental health and has time to do other things. *(Jun 2023)* - **1/5** — Awful: Bro its good academically but in other words lit ppls nudes getting leaked online and other crazy s) *(Feb 2023)* - **4/5** — Recommend: I'm a class of 2020 leaver, and there have been many ups and downs throughout my time here. I will be honest and say that I think some teachers and cover teachers struggle to manage a classroom with misbehaving teens. The teachers were hilarious at times and did help me with any problems I had, although I think that I have left the school not being able to manage my anger due to bullying. I would recommend this school even though the way they deal with bullying may not be the best, but at least … *(Oct 2022)* - **1/5** — Failing to take accountability and allows bullying in the school: OFSTED needs to close this school down. This school has far from a posh school, sorry to break to you. Teachers are vile to students who suffer from physical and/or mental disabilities and fail to take accountability with EVERYTHING! The teachers are narcissistic. I would give this school 0 stars if it was possible. This school is awful when it comes to bullying, harassment and dealing with retaliation. I went to this school for 4 years until I was taken out for poor mental health and too high r… *(Jul 2022)* - **1/5** — Don’t send your child to this school: Unless you’re some so called “upper class mum from the PTFA” this school is awful. The main issues they’re still refusing to deal with are bullying, retaliation and allowing bullying for certain students. My little sister is in Y8 at this pathetic school and she’s been classed as disabled for a number of reasons. SMRT claims they have disabled access for anyone who visits the school and that they “want to help.” But my sister has been screamed at by teachers for being 5 minutes late because can’… *(Jan 2022)* - **1/5** — Ehhhhhh: Really bad and racist! Not equal and teachers were not the best to handle situations. There were a few good teachers but most of them were not the best *(Jun 2021)* - **3/5** — It could be worse...: So I left the school about a year ago and looking back, the experience was alright I suppose. There were definitely a few teachers who were more supportive than others however there wasn't that sense of equality given that this is a school who claims to uphold Christian values. One of my issues is that after spending the past five years learning about religion and other religious groups they never really stuck to any of us. Therefore making it a struggle by the time gcses came. It also bothered … *(Mar 2021)* ## Other schools in Bristol - [Oasis Academy Brightstowe](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/oasis-academy-brightstowe-11752) — 1.5/5 (41 reviews) - [Blaise High School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/blaise-high-school-20858) — 1.5/5 (28 reviews) - [Cotham School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/cotham-school-13000) — 1.3/5 (23 reviews) - [Mangotsfield School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/mangotsfield-school-16677) — 1.5/5 (22 reviews) - [Sir Bernard Lovell Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/sir-bernard-lovell-academy-16402) — 1.8/5 (17 reviews) - [Winterbourne Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/winterbourne-academy-19536) — 2.7/5 (15 reviews) --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
