Don’t put your child through it!!: This school is absolutely awful for children. The bullying within this school is dreadful. My daughter suffered with anxiety and depression as the result of bullying and harassment there. The teachers do absolutely nothing about it, they don’t care. You are the problem for complaining about bullying. The pastrol care is a joke unless you are the bully then they bend over backwards for you. This school is an embrassment to the sector and the school should be closed down for safeguarding and negle… *(Oct 2025)* - **4/5** — A good school: A happy , friendly school. Hardworking teachers who genuinely care about the pupils and will go out of their way to help. Brilliant SEN department full of very qualified and caring staff. Behaviour is generally good as dealt with effectively so school is calm and quiet. Lots of clubs , trips and activities on offer. Corridors can get busy between lessons. Behaviour issues exist as they do in all schools, but there is a good system in places to deal with it. It is used as an example for other sch… *(Oct 2025)* - **1/5** — horrible experience: i got treated so bad there i was picked on . suspend every day, isolation every single day, i had to bunk lessons as they would not sort out bullying, teacher would pick on the “naughty students” for no reason and they don’t know how to help students with special needs. Whenever i am in isolation i see students with sen and they just get screamed and for no apparent reason and you can tell the student is overstimulated by the situation and the teachers make is worse they need to be sorted out. I… *(Apr 2025)* - **1/5** — bad school: this school is bad as they do not take care of students well and do not care about who they are treat some people like of the bottom of there shoes *(Apr 2025)* - **1/5** — Not good education system: The staff do not have their priorities in the right places they care to more about students appearance rather than the students wellbeing and their education. *(Mar 2025)* - **3/5** — Not great leadership: It's very average at this school, too many children , school teaching quite odd . The headteacher is never seen, and some of the weird assembly lessons he has given one calling Donald Trump a racist is totally out of order. My son don't really get anything half decent to do for home work. Maths which is in my eyes top of the list nothing! He has spent some time on homework for teachers not to even ask for it, which is deflating and far from encouraging. Teachers off sick a lot so supplies which … *(Feb 2025)* - **2/5** — Rough horrible school: I am a good student who loves learning but some classes and supply teachers in there let people mess about in one of my classes with an actual teacher there were most students chucking paper airplanes and were fighting before the bell went. I was horrified and was very stressed out. Second of, they say they have good pastoral leader care but my mum went to a meeting about my mental health because they didn’t put anything in place the first day back in year 10. I came home crying my eyes out and … *(Oct 2024)* - **1/5** — Charl: My sweet boy just likes cricket and gets picked on would not recommend this school class rooms are bad desks are dirty and teacher don't listen *(Jul 2023)* - **1/5** — Worse than jail: Such a horrible school ran by lazy staff who don’t care about the children they are teaching!! They don’t care about mental health!! They are extremely strict I.e not aloud to wear your coat in doors or even hang it on a chair! They send students to isolation for bare minimum things even when your in yr 11 and meant to be studying for GCSEs. The teachers are mostly vile who get a kick out of picking on children and making their life’s miserable. The communication skills are dire, I would never s… *(Nov 2022)* - **5/5** — A Great School with Amazing Staff!: I'm so grateful to have my child attend Sir Bernard Lovell Academy. The staff are truly dedicated and passionate about their work, and the facilities are fantastic! My child is thriving and has developed a love for learning. The school's values of respect, equality, and individuality really shine through in everything they do. *(Sep 2022)* ## Other schools in Bristol - [Oasis Academy Brightstowe](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/oasis-academy-brightstowe-11752) — 1.5/5 (41 reviews) - [Blaise High School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/blaise-high-school-20858) — 1.5/5 (28 reviews) - [Cotham School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/cotham-school-13000) — 1.3/5 (23 reviews) - [Mangotsfield School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/mangotsfield-school-16677) — 1.5/5 (22 reviews) - [Winterbourne Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/winterbourne-academy-19536) — 2.7/5 (15 reviews) - [Oasis Academy Brislington](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/oasis-academy-brislington-16392) — 1.8/5 (14 reviews) --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
