The only thing missing are numbers on everyone's forearms. *(Jul 2025)* - **1/5** — Dangerous for your mental health!: Blaise High do not care if you have mental health issues that are caused by them! The head teacher will tell parents "It's a school not a hospital", yet when OFSTED come round to visit, the slaps a label on a door of a cupboard claiming it to be "Mental Health Support". They claim online that Mountain Rescue is always there to support-it doesn't. They tell us students that are struggling "Get in that classroom or your suspended" when you are shaking and hysterical crying because you can't take a… *(Jun 2025)* - **1/5** — Reasons Why This School Is Bad:: If you are wondering if your child should go to this school or if you are a teacher desperately trying to find a good review that paints this school in a good way/light, listen up. I will list a few reasons why this school is the worst school in Bristol. - For starters if you would just search up "Blaise High school is the worst school" after this website there are a bunch of stuff saying that this school is like a military bootcamp and they arent wrong. I agree that disciple is good but this sc… *(Nov 2023)* - **1/5** — Avoid if you value your child's mental wellbeing and education: This school is like marmite, you will either love it or loathe it. My child has been failed by this school. Their SEN provision in mainstream is an absolute joke. They ignore medical and expert opinion, ignore diagnosis, ignore pupil passports and unless your child has an EHCP they do as they please. The teachers are inconsistent, the approach is militant and unless your child can self teach and learn in silence they will drown. *(Oct 2023)* - **1/5** — Terrible, home school if this is your only option: Disgusting school that abuses its pupils through insisting no on robotic sitting still and listening or face hours in detention missing education. This system especially fails SEN kids not able to deal with such practices and leaves everyone else learning how to follow orders without thinking or complaint and lack of confidence and independence. Headteacher advocates disruption free learning and getting teachers to communicate using scripts. Ridiculous! Avoid at all costs! *(Oct 2023)* - **5/5** — Excellent Education and Values: Blaise High School has exceeded my expectations in every way. My child has thrived in the supportive and inclusive environment, and I appreciate the emphasis on teaching knowledge to access any level of society. The character education offer has also been a highlight. *(Sep 2023)* - **1/5** — Review: Horrible head teacher very strict people are rude facility is horrible and the teaching is so old fashioned. It’s like a boot camps *(May 2023)* - **1/5** — Change of leadership needed immediately: Awful school, no concern for children's mental health or their feelings. Pupils are never allowed to give a response to the teachers or give their point of view. The head believes all children should be treated the same including send and that it is his way or the high way. Not enough seats at dinner time and pupils were being punished for walking to the bin to dispose of food. Year 11 students still expected to complete homework and questions every night night even though they have started GCSE… *(May 2023)* - **1/5** — School officials said that: This school they are not really responsible enough because my son was at school I have been abroad and they said your son is not at school I was very shocked I asked them again and again and they told not at school so then I called the reception and they said he is at school so they are not responsible *(Jan 2023)* - **1/5** — Bad school: Blaise high school is not a good school my son is getting bullied and kids going in the school telling lies to the teachers and teacher’s telling lies ring the police on me this school needs to be looked in to or is this for people to read that’s it I had enuff *(Dec 2022)* ## Other schools in Bristol - [Oasis Academy Brightstowe](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/oasis-academy-brightstowe-11752) — 1.5/5 (41 reviews) - [Cotham School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/cotham-school-13000) — 1.3/5 (23 reviews) - [Mangotsfield School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/mangotsfield-school-16677) — 1.5/5 (22 reviews) - [Sir Bernard Lovell Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/sir-bernard-lovell-academy-16402) — 1.8/5 (17 reviews) - [Winterbourne Academy](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/winterbourne-academy-19536) — 2.7/5 (15 reviews) - [Oasis Academy Brislington](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bristol/oasis-academy-brislington-16392) — 1.8/5 (14 reviews) --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
