The Bishop of Winchester Academy is a Church of England academy that serves families of our local community who want their children to be educated within a distinctly Christian ethos. We aim for all our young people to live out our mission statement ‘Sapere Aude’- Have the Courage to be Wise.

- **1/5** — Shittest School In Bournemouth.: If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My three years at this so-called “secondary school” felt like a punishment I wasn’t told the crime for. Walking through those gates every morning was like willingly stepping into a vortex of chaos, incompetence, and disappointment. Let’s start with the teachers—if you can even call them that. - **1/5** — Horrendous lazy school: As a parent I am disgusted at my child’s time at tbowa. The teachers don’t seem to care about bullying and just ignore any signs of bullying. They also teach the bare minimum to kids also very lazy and unsympathetic towards some people who have been going through problems and have been through trauma and people with additional needs just telling them to go back to lesson not listening.All the SLT are appalling they don’t seem to care on the welfare on the kids which attend this school and my chi… *(Apr 2025)*
- **1/5** — never send your child here!!: i have worked here for around 2 years and the teachers are miserable. i have witnessed some awful occasions where the children are having a meltdowns daily and get no support. schools like this obliterate children’s mental health and i couldn’t imagine being in this toxic , what they call “academy”. i never would have thought i would be writing this review and is absolutely gut wrenching as an adult to be complaining about how children get bullied by there own teachers. i have heard constant com… *(Mar 2025)*
- **1/5** — Simply atrocious.: To any parents who are looking at school options to take their children too. Please reaad this. I don't personally go to this school but let me tell you, most of the drama/conflicts in Castlepoint revolve/or directly include this school. The security is a an absolute joke and they let unhinged teenagers prey on the younger children attending. Most of the bullying cases never get resolved but more just covered up by the head of the school and everyone else involved. It is simply in no other words… *(Jan 2025)*

- **1/5** — Bullying through the school and TBOWA's toxicity: I, a year 10 student, was pushed physically by a group of year 7's in the lunch line. Previously the year 7's have been known for pushing in and some tries to skip by going around me, this lead to others who were behind them thinking I pushed in and worked together to push me out of line. I decided lunch was not worth it and went to first aid because additionally I wasn't feeling well. I went home hungry and upset because this is bullying even if they are younger than me. - **1/5** — Lazy teachers, non communication, drugs in school and other issues: I would never have sent my 2 children to this school. They don't communicate anything. There are children with class A drugs in and on the outside of this school. They teach inappropriate content in Religious Studies.The teachers are very laid back, my son and daughter ( who was a prefect) hated this school. - **1/5** — LEAVERS ASSEMBLY DAY RUINED: I have 3 children that are currently at bishop and i am also appalled by the teachers attitude towards the children, so many issues we have had. Just today my daughter got to school for her last day for leavers assembly and the teachers were turning kids away because they never had their blazers, the kids had to go home and then come back and then they still couldnt get through the gates as teachers were refusing them to enter. (why should kids be made to wear blazers in this heat its 23 degrees… *(Jun 2023)*
