I have teachers telling my child to take out piercings ( tiny studs )when they have a full face of piercings. They say it’s “school policy” and that they should take it out. My child told me teachers have rudely asked to take the piercings out but if they asked in a polite , understanding way why wou… *(Dec 2025)* - **1/5** — do not come here: school is so bad, it was christmas dinner day and there was NO food left for my children. why enroll more students when you cant feed them? *(Dec 2025)* - **2/5** — Pupils are reckless and teachers do not take it seriously: This is a pretty bad school. The teachers depends, some can be good and bad. Pupils are reckless and teachers do not take it seriously and do not take action until it gets very bad the most they can do is give out detention which do little to nothing and pupils carry on. Overall I do not recommend this school and that teachers should be more serious and stricter and start expelling people. *(Sep 2024)* - **5/5** — Excellent Education for My Child - Emily B: I am so impressed with the education my child is receiving at Hillside High School. The school's commitment to British values and diversity is evident in the wide range of programs they offer, including the Hillside Pantry Team. My child has also benefited from the excellent facilities and resources available, particularly in the sciences. I highly recommend Hillside High School to any parent seeking an excellent education for their child. *(Sep 2023)* - **2/5** — hell on earth💗: the students are so rude to people who don’t act like them, or are shy. teachers and staff just let it happen. especially when situations take place right under their noses, it’s ridiculous. its always “anti-bullying” but really they make it sound like its more important to them than it ever really was. *(Jul 2023)* - **5/5** — Good School with Some Areas for Improvement - David J: Overall, I am pleased with the education my child is receiving at Hillside High School. The staff are friendly and supportive, and the school's commitment to student well-being is evident. However, I do feel that the school could improve its communication with parents. Sometimes it can be difficult to get information about upcoming events or important deadlines. Nevertheless, I would recommend Hillside High School to most parents. *(May 2023)* - **2/5** — How bad hillside really is: This school is awful the staff don't do anything when kids are getting bullied *(Apr 2023)* - **4/5** — Mixed Experience at Hillside High School - Laura W: I have mixed feelings about my experience at Hillside High School. My child had a good time and achieved well in their GCSEs. However, I do feel that the school could have been more proactive in addressing bullying issues and supporting students with SEND needs. Additionally, I sometimes found it difficult to navigate the school's online system, including Class Charts. Despite these issues, I would still recommend Hillside High School to some parents, particularly those who value its commitment … *(Dec 2022)* - **5/5** — Hillside: This school is a great school for anyone to go the teachers are lovely and they are so helpful and kind.the food is not bad at all.you can make so many friends and grow up in a healthy environment so I think you should recommend coming her. *(Apr 2022)* - **3/5** — Hillside High School: The school is okay. The lessons are normal but the activities at break and lunch there is nothing. The food is ok but only serves either takeaway or sandwiches and wraps. I still enjoy the school and enjoy coming the people and teachers are very friendly *(Mar 2021)* ## Other schools in Bootle - [King's Leadership Academy Hawthornes](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bootle/kings-leadership-academy-hawthornes-13641) — 2.0/5 (12 reviews) - [Linacre Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bootle/linacre-primary-school-2269) — 1.9/5 (6 reviews) - [The Salesian Academy of St John Bosco](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bootle/the-salesian-academy-of-st-john-bosco-22605) — 4.5/5 (4 reviews) - [Springwell Park Community Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bootle/springwell-park-community-primary-school-11310) — 3.1/5 (4 reviews) - [St Benedict's Catholic Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bootle/st-benedicts-catholic-primary-school-11526) — 4.8/5 (3 reviews) - [Our Lady of Walsingham Primary School](https://schoolbrowse.com/gb/bootle/our-lady-of-walsingham-primary-school-23883) — 4.7/5 (3 reviews) --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
