About St Peter's Smithills Dean Church of England Primary School

We are a Church of England, voluntary aided school, for 4- to 11-year-old children in the parish of St Peter’s Halliwell, and a proud member of the Forward as One CE Multi Academy Trust. Our school mission statement is ‘Let Your Light Shine’ based on Matthew 5 v16. At St Peter’s we want all our children to shine in whatever they do.

"Some Great Aspects, but Room for Improvement"

We've had a mixed experience at St Peter's. My child has enjoyed the school's focus on teamwork and sportsmanship, and the teachers have been helpful in supporting her learning. However, there have been some issues with communication and organisation, which has been frustrating at times.

"Our Happy Experience at St Peter's"

We've been at St Peter's for two years now and the school has been a wonderful home for our child. The 'Shine Curriculum' really focuses on the values that we as a family believe in, and it's lovely to see that reflected in the classroom. My child loves playing on the sports field and participating in the extracurricular activities.

"A Friendly and Supportive Community"

We've really settled in at St Peter's and feel part of a friendly and supportive community. The school's 'Let Your Light Shine' mission statement resonates with us, and we appreciate the emphasis on kindness, respect, and empathy. My child loves coming to school and the teachers are always approachable.

"Excellent Education and Values"

I have nothing but praise for St Peter's. I sent my two children to the school and they both thrived. The school's emphasis on Christian values and its commitment to providing a well-rounded education really stood out to me. The teachers were supportive and dedicated, and the school's facilities are excellent.
