I attended this school for 3 years and have alot of complaints because this school absolutely failed me. when i was 13 i thought i was transgender and wanted support from my head of year as i wanted to be out in school but was struggling at home, i asked her if shed help me get a pair of trousers instead of a skirt because my mother was homophobic, and even-though i trusted her with this she called my mother and tol… *(Nov 2025)* - **1/5** — Think very carefully before committing your child to 5 years at BBG: We have put two children through this school with a total of 7 years of exposure so I feel we are qualified to comment on the experience. Interestingly when I went to leave a review on google (because this is where most people go to read a review), the function has been switched off, not sure how long it has been like this but not surprising given just how detrimental the reviews must have been to the #teambbg image! Anyway, I digress. The first thing any parent considering BBG needs to apprecia… *(Jul 2025)* - **1/5** — parent: the school is very shit, the rules are too strict get the school fired *(May 2025)* - **1/5** — Bbg academy is the most teribal school ever: This is a terrible school and I do not recommend the toilets are disgusting broken locks doors missing and don't get me started on there "pd system" they will take one friend groups side even if you did nothing and have proof this school needs to be re evalulated without them knowing so they can get caught out on this *(Nov 2024)* - **1/5** — Awful school: Honestly thing school is shocking, I seriously wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. The rules are absolutely ridiculous and they’ve taken their power and used it to their full extent. They conatantly bring students down just to make themselves feel better. You genuinly see teachers smirking and be proud of themselves for making students cry? I’ve seen teachers making female students wipe their makeup off in the middle of a corridor or the middle of the “heart space” where many people can see you.… *(Feb 2024)* - **1/5** — BBG’s new slogan: Mental health doesn’t matter!: I left this school a year ago. Academically, this school is amazing i passed all of my exams. However this came with a price. This school and every single teacher in it, does not care about anyone’s mental health. Don’t get me wrong, there’s an exception of maybe three specific teachers who managed to understand us, as students. However their job is to teach, not to clean up the mentally damaging mess the other teachers have made. The amount of friends I knew who came to me, saying the most terr… *(Nov 2023)* - **1/5** — Don’t listen to mental health: As once being a student here, they don’t care for your mental health or wellbeing, they just want good grades. They didn’t care to the point where I had to leave their environment to go to an alternative provision where they accommodated my needs. *(May 2023)* - **2/5** — BBG academy is a shit school: As a student they have no support for the students all they care about is you getting good grades and they always say "treat us with respect and we will treat you with respect " even if you treat them respect you never get it back *(Apr 2023)* - **5/5** — Excellent School Experience: We have been at BBG Academy for two years now and have had a fantastic experience. The Positive Discipline approach has been a game-changer for our child's behaviour and confidence. The Contextual Curriculum is also very impressive, giving our child a real understanding of the world around them. *(Feb 2023)* - **1/5** — Not bad not great: This school was good in some aspects. The aspect of driving everything around grades is definitely good to an extent. Little consideration is taken into situations where people are struggling with mental health. They have a no bullying policy and violence policy which they do not follow in many instances. And when they do act on bullying its way too late and not measured correctly. Some particular male staff were overly aggressive to the point where they would make students cry, and be overhead … *(Oct 2022)* --- Source: SchoolBrowse (https://schoolbrowse.com) — reviews and ratings are user-submitted by parents.
