## Recent parent reviews

- **5/5** — Former student.: I do not understand the negative reviews coming from fellow students and parents. I as someone who attended this school can say that while it is strict, it prepares you for your future education. Unlike other schools around the area like Great Academy, St Damian’s take pride in who they let into their school as at the end of the day the pupils represent the school both outside and inside of the school. I cannot fault certain teachers for being strict as there will always be certain students that… *(Jul 2025)*
- **1/5** — Current student: Headt3acher is racist he does show respect to students he only cares about offset rating and the variety in this school to make it looks good the headteacher is not as good as you think some teachers do not give you the support they tell you that you would receive also teacher target students and treat them unfairly . They talk about treating others equally but i didnt get that treatment Headteacher doesnt listen to the kids and dont believe them he only agrees with what the teaxher has said and… *(Jun 2025)*
- **1/5** — School cares only about reputation and nothing else.: Stay away from this school . It is not that great as I thought . They care only about school reputation and that's all. They just showing off how great they are front of other schools or at admissions , but reality is very far from this. Do not look for support or understanding in this school. Whatever they offer is useless and never helped. My kid developed and anxiety just because of school environment and how rude teachers and staff are. All they told me that our anxiety ( diagnosed by dr.) i… *(Jan 2025)*
- **1/5** — Pretending what they are NOT: School playing more than they are . Students are unhappy , and issues are not dealt properly at all. If ofsted suppose to come students are forced to smile, and do something they been told otherwise they will have afterschool detention . If any big issue in school they just try brush it ,,under the carpet ,, fast and playing like nothing happened . Teachers changing often (who knows why) . Some students complained that school is raslcist . (Who knows 🤷‍♀️) They are not as they presenting . *(Jan 2025)*

- **2/5** — About St Damian’s: this is coming from a current student at the school St Damian’s. Most students I know would say it’s a bad school,no not because it’s boring,it’s because the children are always misbehaving, the teachers don’t know how to deal with it and they have a bad way of discipline, trying to learn in the class i am in is awful and the teachers let power get to their head. They don’t deal with mental health well and are fully focused on academics.although they teach you the right things,if the lesson even ge… *(May 2023)*
- **2/5** — st damian's - not all it's made out to be: #1 counsellers do nothing, one time my counseller told me to brush my teeth because i dont want smelly breath and ugly teeth on stage(i want to be an actress) #2 teachers have told a yr11 muslim student to take off her hijab, although they took the pillars of islam and changed it to "the 8 pillars of st damians" and one of the rules is to respect all religions #3 top set students in yr9 get barely any creative subjects and instead it's replaced with extra science maths etc. #4 many teachers are … *(Apr 2023)*
- **1/5** — School review: Absolute hell hole Only care about the grades and the uniform Should get closed down Teachers are creeps for looking up girls skirts when walking upstairs *(Apr 2023)*
