As a black student I was subject to a lot of bullying not only by my peers but by a few my teachers. Often being singled out, I recall a scenario where a teacher called me 'that coloured thing over there' I raised this with my other teachers and my head teacher and they told me it doesn't matter. I was pretty quiet and awkward, my music teacher would often join in in laughing at me.
