Aberdare Community School (Welsh: Ysgol Gymunedol Aberdâr) is a secondary school located in Aberdare, Wales, serving students ages 11-18. The school was formed in September 2014 as part of a merger between Aberdare High School, Aberdare Girls' School, and Blaengwawr Comprehensive School. The school's state-of-the-art £50 million campus was constructed on the Michael Sobell Sports Centre site, with the new building opening in April 2015. The comprehensive school features advanced facilities including two MAC suites, a drama studio, multiple computer suites, specialist science classrooms, a university-style lecture theatre seating approximately 120 people, and is built adjacent to the Aberdare Public Swimming Pool.
